Publisher Slitherine wrapped up 2022 with one final livestream, dubbed Slitherine Next, during which it shared more details about some of its upcoming strategy games, including Ancient Arenas: Chariots and Broken Arrow.
The Slitherine Next livestream kicked off with a pre-show focused on the now-released Master of Magic reboot. The modernized version of the 4X strategy classic is available on PC.
Slitherine Next
Starship Troopers: Terran Command sated our appetite for arachnid slaughter earlier this year and, as per its roadmap, a DLC campaign is set to launch in 2023. During Slitherine Next, the publisher revealed that it would take us to a lava planet that looks fairly inhospitable even without all the bugs.
Headquarters: World War II lets players experience the Battle of Normandy from both sides. Slitherine Next gave us a better look at defensive gameplay, with the German faction defending a village against Allied attackers, as well a taste of how multiplayer matches play.
Moving even further back through time, the publisher shared more details about Field of Glory: Kingdoms’ new Authority system, buildings, governments, and dynasties, while showcasing its El Cid scenario. In addition, it also announced that sign-ups for next year’s beta test are live as of today.
Chariot racing game Ancient Arenas: Chariots was also featured, the publisher unveiling a new trailer while delving deeper into how both its management and racing parts play.
The final part of the Slitherine Next livestream brought things back to modern times, focusing on large-scale real-time tactics game Broken Arrow.
The publisher showed off a quick-paced mission from the upcoming title’s single-player campaign while giving us a look at the game’s first unveiled Deck Specialisation: the U.S. Marine Corps.
2023 sounds like a packed year for Slitherine, the publisher also working on strategy game Terminator: Dark Fate, among other projects.
