Publisher and developer Merge Games has given us a first look at the 2023 roadmap for Smalland: Survive the Wilds, outlining the content coming to the early access survival game over the course of the next months.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ 2023 early access roadmap includes at least one content update that looks quite chunky alongside a set of other additions currently being considered by the developer.

Content Update 1
Release Date: Spring 2023
Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ first major update is currently slated to launch at some point in spring 2023, delivering the first significant batch of content following the game’s early access release.
It is set to introduce a new hornet mount, alongside new colony spider enemies that will make its world more dangerous to navigate.
Thankfully, a new weapon and tool are also on the way, bringing additional means to deal with threats or obstacles new and old.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ content update 1 also adds a brand new explorable location to the game’s world, in the shape of the Giant’s Fall Chapel & Tomb.
A new metal building tier is also planned, as are new historian and merchant NPCS, alongside a set of traditional smallfolk armor.
Future Content
Later down the line, Smalland: Survive the Wilds 2023 roadmap promises season and weather improvements, official server support, as well as a system that allows for grouping up as a team.
Multiple world expansions are also planned, alongside new resources, bosses, factions, and PvP additions.
These and other features weren’t given a date, being grouped up under a vague “future content” label.
Plans can also shift as development progresses, leading to new features being introduced or some being prioritized over others.
Regardless, Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ 2023 roadmap is full of content which, provided the developer succesfully delivers at a steady cadence, should keep its world interesting throughout the year.
