Smalland: Survive the Wilds is out now, and if you’re looking to brave its dangerous environments soon but have a harder time dealing with spiders, you may want to know what you can expect in terms of arachnophobia settings.
Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ arachnophobia settings allow you to tweak the look of spiders so that you or anyone affected by the phobia, can still enjoy what the game has to offer. It’s a mode that is making its way into an increasing number of games and, thankfully, Merge Games’ latest effort already includes it.

As the publisher explains in a FAQ in the game’s Steam Discussions section, the Smalland: Survive the Wilds’ settings menu contains “four levels of comfort for arachnophobes.
“The lowest setting gives them less legs, then no legs, followed by no fangs and finally just floating bodies,” the post continues.
