Publisher and developer Rebellion today announced the launch of Sniper Elite 5: Kraken Awakens, the content pack that concludes the third-person stealth action game’s second season pass.
Sniper Elite 5: Kraken Awakens adds a new mission during which players “must utilise the cover of darkness and harness the power of shadows to sabotage an under-construction aircraft carrier that is the new home of Operation Kraken, and ensure it never sets sail.”
Sniper Elite 5: Kraken Awakens
Protagonist Karl Fairburne faces off against Friedrich Vogel, former deputy to Abelard Möller, and his bloodthirsty retinue.
The mission tasks us with navigating “an intricately designed military dock” before exploring the sprawling aircraft carrier itself.
Aside from enemies, we’ll also need to look out for various secrets and valuable intel.
Sniper Elite 5: Kraken Awakens also brings with it the new Patriot weapon skin and American Airborne character skin, giving Karl an all-American makeover.
In addition, we’ll be able to wield the Mod.712 pistol. It comes with detachable magazines alongside “an unrivalled automatic fire rate,” which is bound to come in handy during close-quarters combat.
Accompanying the content pack, is the new and free Abandoned Quarry multiplayer map. Centered around the depths of an old mine, it allows us to both approach things stealthily from its vantage points as well as forego caution and jump into loud gunfights.
Sniper Elite 5: Kraken Awakens is available now on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation, either as part of Season Pass Two (£24.99/$29.99/€29.99), or as an individual purchase that costs £9.99/€10.99/$10.99 or your regional equivalent.
