Is there cross-play between PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S in Snowrunner? SnowRunner lets players tackle the challenges of driving through extreme environments both on their own and alongside up to four friends. Including a multiplayer component quickly brought up questions regarding the potential addition of crossplay or cross-platform support, which at first were not part of publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Saber Interactive’s plans.
SnowRunner didn’t get crossplay support as part of its initial Season Pass. But with another bout of post-launch content confirmed, cross-platform enthusiasts will finally have their wishes fulfilled.
SnowRunner Crossplay Support
SnowRunner’s Year 2 Pass finally introduced crossplay across all platforms - PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This is part of a multi-stage process that will take place over the title’s second year of post-launch content, which started on the 18th May, 2021.
SnowRunner PC cross-platform support was up first, arriving when Season 5: Build & Dispatch launched in September 2021. It removed the barriers between the Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store versions of the game.
Season 6, which went live in December 2021, introduced crossplay between PC and PS4. One of our readers pointed out an error in our article which previously claimed that the feature was also available on Xbox One.

That was not the case, but the feature did extend to Microsoft’s console in March 2022, when patch 16.1 was deployed.
The Nintendo Switch won’t be left out, either, benefitting from cross-platform support on May 31, 2022, marking the final step in the whole process.
SnowRunner is out now on PC – via Fanatical and other major storefronts –, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
