The release date for Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Cooperation update is quickly approaching and we now know that the Clone Commando reinforcement will be introduced with it. This continues the Clone Wars era focus that the game has maintained throughout the year.
The Cooperation update will also introduce Felucia as a new planet for players to duke it out on, as well as a 4-player co-op mode for PvE enthusiasts.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 Cooperation Update Clone Commando
Similar to other reinforcements in Star Wars Battlefront 2, the Clone Commando comes with its own focus and set of abilities. Designed to take on stronger foes, it wields a reconfigurable blaster that can turn into a grenade launcher, which is effective against vehicles.
The Clone Commando’s Repulsor Blast ability knocks back and disorients enemies at short range, while Battle Focus grants a buff that reduces damage taken by the Commando and nearby allies. On top of that, dealing damage as the Commando comes with a lifesteal effect.
Star Wars Battlefront 2’s Cooperation Update also takes players to the lush but dangerous jungles of Felucia for the first time, while introducing two new modes.
Instant Actions sees a lone player go against AI-controlled armies as they try to capture command posts. The mode allows players to configure the difficulty, amount of battle points earned, and a few other features.
The second mode introduced to Star Wars Battlefront 2, is the previously mentioned online 4-player co-op mode. It aims to deliver “a large scale PvE adventure across all Clone Wars planets in the game”. Furthermore, the mode will be expanded in October, allowing players to choose factions and tackle a combination of attack and defense missions.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is out now on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Its Cooperation update is scheduled to go live on September 25.
