Star Wars: Battlefront 2's latest scandal has been relating to the game's rendition of certain clone trooper corps, which have turned out to be rather sloppy, to say the least. Battlefront 2's iteration of the legendary 327th Star Corps has been diminished to a simple, non-canon retexture, which has displeased many.
The reskins have arrived with the Elite Corps update, which brought both the 327th, and the 41st Elite Corps into the game - neither of which are particularly true to their canon iterations. That said, developers have promised to do something about the problem!
"Many of you have commented on the authenticity of these appearances and we are working very closely with our friends at Lucasfilm to ensure accuracy in-game," say Dice in a recent blog post. "With that, we can confirm that we will be making changes to the current 327th Star Corps appearances."
In particular, developers intend to alter some of the texture work on these skins, with no sign of them attempting to change the models due to what may well amount to technical difficulties of some sort. Alongside the 327th, the 91st and the 104th Companies will also be seeing some changes, though not yet.
According to devs, their content update for September has already been 'baked-in', and any and all changes to these skins will only be arriving in the future, eventually. We'll see.
