Last evening, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment revealed the first story details for the action-adventure, open-world game Star Wars Outlaws. They also confirmed the platforms and services on which it will be available upon its launch on 30th August.
Ubisoft does not intend to include Star Wars Outlaws in the Xbox Game Pass lineup upon its release. However, the positive news is that it will be accessible through Ubisoft’s own Ubisoft+ service. This subscription provides access to a broad range of its titles for £14.99 a month.
Will Star Wars Outlaws ever be put on Xbox Game Pass?
Although there’s a possibility that Star Wars Outlaws might join Microsoft’s subscription service eventually, it seems unlikely to happen for at least a year or two after it releases. The game is set to launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S on 30th August.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the most recent Ubisoft title to be released on Game Pass, arriving in January 2024. That’s four years after it was released, so it could be a very long wait for Star Wars Outlaws.
Ubisoft currently has the following titles on PC Game Pass:
- Assassin's Creed Odyssey
- Assassin's Creed Origins
- Assassin's Creed Valhalla
- Far Cry 5
- Far Cry 6
- For Honor (Marching Fire Expansion)
- Ghost Recon: Wildlands
- Immortals Fenyx Rising
- Rainbow Six Siege
- Watch Dogs 2
If you’re reluctant to purchase the game at the retail price of £59.99, especially since it may not be available on Xbox Game Pass anytime soon, considering a subscription to Ubisoft+ could be a more cost-effective option to access the game. While it’s a single-player game, we do expect Ubisoft to support it with DLC and other content after release.
