Stellaris’ continues to receive patches even six years after launch, being one of the major titles in publisher Paradox Interactive’s portfolio. Following the release of the Cepheus patch, players have their sights set on the 3.4.4 update release date, wondering when it might occur.
Stellaris’ 3.4.4 patch is smaller in size and scope, its release date bridging the gap between the 3-or-so month period separating the game’s major updates, which came into effect following the launch of its Custodian initiative.
Stellaris 3.4.4 Update Release Date
On May 19, Stellaris’ game director announced that the team behind the game planned to release update 3.4.4 “in a few weeks.”
One week later, he revealed that the update was getting a “full (i.e. non-rushed) release process,” which involved “two weeks or so to fix anything that comes up and get localization back, then two weeks for the overhead related to releases.”
On June 9, we learned that the update’s patch notes were a week away.

The developer later revealed Stellaris 3.4.4 update release date is set to occur at some point during the week of June 20.
As of June 21, the patch is available for download and you can check out its full patch notes for a list of changes.
Of course, if rogue bugs or other issues pop up, there’s a chance it will get pushed until July. We’ll have to wait for official confirmation from the devs before we can say for sure.
The patch brings localization updates for the 3.4.3 hotfix alongside a variety of balance tweaks, including an increase to the experience earned by ships per day while in battle, planetary automation improvements, and more.
