As we step into the second half of 2022, Stellaris’ post-launch support is set to continue with its 3.5 Fornax update release.
Stellaris’ 3.5 patch is another update coming after the launch of the Custodian initiative launched. It saw the grand strategy game’s development team split into two, one half focusing on paid expansion content while another works on releasing free patches every 3 months or so. This gives us a good sense of when its release date might occur.
The Cepheus patch went live in the first half of May, however, there was a good chance that we would not see Stellaris’ Cepheus 3.5 update’s release date occurring in August. Paradox routinely winds things down a bit in July, as staff goes on holiday.
Dev diaries were also on hiatus until August, however, Stellaris’ game director confirmed that, as long as everything went according to plan, the patch will go live at some point in fall 2022.
On September 15, it was revealed that Stellaris’ 3.5 update release date was slated for September 20, launching alongside the Toxoids Species Pack.
