Rebellion has revealed the new Strange Brigade launch trailer, which gives an excellent look at all aspects of the spiritual successor to the Nazi Zombie Army Trilogy. More than that though, it also reveals that there will be free launch DLC for Strange Brigade in the form of a new playable character.
The fifth member of the Strange Brigade is called Winston Bey, a "gentleman explorer", and he'll be available for free for the first 30 days of the game's release. In other words, if you purchase the game from August 28-September 28 you can download and keep Winston for free. Presumably he'll be paid DLC after that time.
Winston Bey joins the rest of the Strange Brigade post-launch DLC content characters, including pilot Tessie Caldwell, prospector Patrick 'Bash' Conaghan, demon hunter Anjali Khan, and "unyielding survivor" Hachiro Shimizu.
"Prospector, journalist, spy, diplomat and traveller – Winston Bey has explored the world and seen it all. He tells himself the Brigade’s adventures are “just an amusing diversion” in his extensive voyages, but the Department of Antiquities already has longer-term employment in mind…"
Strange Brigade will be available August 28, and we should have our review up then. Until then you can check out our hands-on impressions and gameplay video from the new pirate caverns level, and we also spoke with Studio Design Lead Ben Fisher from Rebellion about the game.
