Nacon has just confirmed during the Nacon Connect 2025 event that the sneaky goblin Styx is returning with a third installment this year in Styx: Blades of Greed.
The just-released trailer (which you can watch below) marks the return of the now-veteran stealthy action-adventure series, which stars a sharp-witted, greedy goblin with a bag full of physical and magical tricks. Cyanide Studio is once again developing, and if nothing changes, the threequel will arrive this fall for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
Styx: Blades of Greed release date is set for Fall 2025
Nacon is teasing “a vertically expansive medieval fantasy world” where each mission can be completed in an open-ended way and with a wide array of weapons, tools, and spells. You know, the usual from Styx. For newcomers: Let’s just say it’s a fantasy-themed series with plenty of DNA from classics like Thief, Hitman, and Dishonored on a reasonable AA budget and trimming the fat. Sounds enticing, right?
While the first trailer doesn’t feature actual uncut gameplay, it seems to be rendered with the in-game graphics, which have seen an upgrade since 2017’s Styx: Shards of Darkness. The dark comedy is intact, and so is the mayhem that Styx keeps causing on his way out of a well-defended fortress. The target this time around? “Quartz, a rare and magical resource” that might hold some secrets.
Little else has been revealed during Nacon’s big event, but it appears the publisher plans to put out several sizable releases throughout 2025 across many genres, so gamers should keep tabs on what could be one of the hottest video game slates of the year.
