Grim Dawn's next big expansion, following Ashes of Malmouth, will be titled 'Forgotten Gods', and is planned to bring with it an abundance of new content - as we've come to expect from Crate Entertainment. Among many other additions, there's a new character class!
Forgotten Gods' signature class will be the shield-oriented Oathkeeper, and devs have offered a first look at the bulk of its abilities! They seem to be oriented around the usage of shields as offensive items, which is an interesting twist to start with, but there's much to choose from even if you're not looking to employ them.
Oathkeeper will, for example, be able to channel his or her talents into a whirlwind-type ability, with a number of additional modifiers to specialise it with, should you choose to do so. Even more so, this class will have the chance to augment its auto-attack skill with elemental effects and summon celestial spirits to aid them in combat.
Crate Entertainment have also been proud to announce that they've finally managed to figure out how to properly execute mobility skills in Grim Dawn's engine, and that Forgotten Gods will be introducing special Rune Augments to make use of the new code.
Players will, thus, now be able to Charge through enemies, Rift Tear their way across the battlefield, Leap into groups of mobs, and more, which will bring an exciting new dimension to combat. If you've not yet given Grim Dawn a chance, you can get it off Steam right now for €24,99.
