The Terra Invicta Kickstarter campaign has now concluded and was a success for The Long War mod developer Pavonis Interactive.
After blasting past its minimum goal of $20,000 in under a day, the $216,000 raised from 4,278 backers ensured that all six Terra Invicta Kickstarter stretch goals were reached.
Among them count voice acting for the 4X strategy game’s leaders and councilors alongside a scenario taking place during the Cold War.
Terra Invicta Kickstarter Campaign Goal, Targets Summer 2021 Release
The success of Terra Invicta’s Kickstarter campaign has prompted Dallas-based publisher Hooded Horse to increase funding for the project.
“Terra Invicta has enormous potential,” said Hooded Horse CEO Tim Bender. “Where past sci-fi strategy games have explored the distant future, Terra Invicta brings the player into our world, and challenges them to take those first steps into space. The Kickstarter has proven that is a game players have been waiting for.”
Known for developing XCOM’s acclaimed The Long War mod, developer Pavonis Interactive presents a similar scenario in Terra Invicta.
But while its first game also focuses on an Earth that is under threat of an alien invasion, players won’t just have to navigate its geopolitics.
Taking control of one human faction, you will have to set off into the Solar System which you must exploit and protect.
