Offroad driving game SnowRunner has finally launched, tasking players with navigating its harsh environments using one of its 40 customizable vehicles.
In spite of it barely having launched, modders have already started adding to Saber Interactive’s latest title. To help keep things fresh as you brave extreme terrain, here is our list of the best SnowRunner mods.
SnowRunner Mods List
The first set of SnowRunner mods add new vehicles to the game’s already sizeable roster, one of which is unusually purple and sports tentacles.
We expect more SnowRunner mods to be released as modders get familiar with the game and will update this list with new mods as we learn about them.
Octopus Mod
Trucks and cars are cool, but SnowRunner’s Octopus mod understands that the real challenge lies in getting a large, purple octopus friend across rough terrain. Instead of wheels, you’re controlling its tentacles, and, should you get stuck, you can resort to your trusty winch. Find it on mod.io.
Tesla Cybertruck Mod
Unless we’re talking about the mod above, aesthetics don’t count for much when you’re tackling the challenges of off-road driving. If there ever was a spot in which the Tesla Cybertruck would fit in, SnowRunner is it. This aptly named mod lets you put the blocky cybertruck to the test. Get it from mod.io
Harley Davidson Fat Boy Mod
Okay, so maybe aesthetics do matter even in SnowRunner but, at the same time, the Harley Davidson Fat Boy has a certain roughness to it that makes it feel slightly more appropriate for the in-game terrain. You can see what it’s capable of by downloading the mod from mod.io.
M134 Minigun Mod
We totally get if you’re disappointed about this mod not adding a literal minigun on wheels – that would have been pretty badass. Nonetheless, the buggy introduced to SnowRunner with the M134 Minigun Mod doesn’t look half bad and fits SnowRunner’s theme. Find it on mod.io.
KrazChaborz Mod
If the previous entries went against the grain, the KrazChaborz Mod adds a massive beast of a truck that ticks all the boxes of an offroad driving game. A truck that screams SnowRunner, you can purchase it in Taimyr, then put it to the test on any of the title’s roads. Find it on mod.io.
WS 714WM Mod
Want more beastly trucks in your truck game? The WS 714WM Mod expands SnowRunner’s vehicle roster with a massive eight-wheeler. Although still a work-in-progress, the mod has attracted a lot of attention since launch as it fits so well with the title’s theme. Download it from mod.io.
Long Winches 3x Mod
Winches are there for you when you get stuck in SnowRunner’s challenging terrain. The Long Winches 3x Mod makes your life easier by letting you get out from even the stickiest of situations. Find it on mod.io.
No Recovery Mod
SnowRunner’s Recover options is there for you when the title’s terrain proves too much for you. The No Recovery Mod caters to players who’re after a more hardcore experience, removing the Recover option entirely. Find it on mod.io.
TUZ 420 DRST Ant Mod
The TUZ 420 DRST Ant Mod adds some military flair to SnowRunner, introducing an eight-wheeler that could easily pass as an APC. To name a few of its features, the vehicle comes with a 1-slot cargo rack, high suspension, snorkel and more. Get it from mod.io
Bonkers Pacific P12 Mod
Our list of the best SnowRunner mods suffers from a lack of pink truck and that’s precisely what the Bonkers Pacific P12 Mod fixes. With it, you can drive a fairly monstrous pink truck, although, that’s not the only available color. Some of its other features include a snorkel, differential lock, all-wheel drive, several bumper options and more. Find it on mod.io.
Untitled Goose Honk Mod
While we can’t yet play as a goose in Snowrunner, the Untitled Goose Honk Mod brings us one step closer to that experience. The mod simply replaces the regular horn sound of certain small and medium trucks with the now-iconic goose honk. Get if from mod.io.
Emil's Voron D53233 Mod
Emil’s Voron D53233 Mod expands SnowRunner’s already generous truck roster with one new addition. The truck comes with everything unlocked and its truck store price set at 1. Among its upgrades count 7 new engines, a new gearbox with 12 auto gears, 3 low gears, and 1 high gear but also a new winch with maximum length and strength. Grab it from mod.io.
Emil's Khan 39 Marshall Mod
SnowRunner, it turns out, isn’t all about large trucks. Emil’s Khan 39 Marshall mod alters the small DLC vehicle by adding a new gearbox with 7 auto gears, 3 low gears and 1 high gear, a new winch, unlockable scout and large truck trailers, and more. Get it from mod.io.
Offroad Trailers Mod
SnowRunner’s Offroad Trailers mod features individual tuning for the game’s trailers that should make driving with them attached to your truck feel better. They interact with the surface you’re driving across differently depending on their load and require a winch if you plan on linking together several trailers. Find it on mod.io
[IR] Yerf Dog 3203 Mod
The Yerf Dog 3203 mod adds another buggy and some needed variety to SnowRunner’s garage filled with monstrous trucks. Better yet, the agile vehicle comse in a few different colors, for anyone holding onto their sense of aesthetics while wrestling with snowy or muddy terrain. Grab it from mod.io
Responsive Steering
The Responsive Steering mod improves how SnowRunner controls, especially if you’re playing using an Xbox 360 gamepad. It not only makes lag and the dead-zone effect go away, but also allows for more finesse while driving at high speeds. Grab it on from mod.io.
