The Crew 2 will receive its second free update, titled Demolition Derby, on December 5. The update will introduce the titulary Demolition Derby discipline, alongside four new demolition derby cars which will be completely destructible, regardless if you’re taking part in any particular mode or just driving freely.
“The Demolition Derby update introduces a new Demolition Derby discipline where competitors must try to earn a top-three spot by getting the highest score in a limited amount of time. Two new arenas have been built to house the destruction. The Bonneville Salt Flat where players will earn points by crushing their opponents’ cars while avoiding obstacles like being smashed by an elevator, a spring-loaded boxing glove or other cars. And a new circuit built in the heart of the Tucson aircraft cemetery, where players will be able to push their opponents off of the track for even more devastation.”, the press release reads.
The Demolition Derby update for The Crew 2 will also add the highly-requested PvP mode. Available once the first HQ is unlocked, it pits up to 8 players against each other “in a variety of disciplines, such as Street Racing and Motocross, in a constantly renewed selection of events across the US map.”.
Vehicle levels will be maxed out for PvP while players lacking a specific type of car will be lent one, so that getting into the available PvP playlists won’t be too difficult. You can read more about the PvP mode and its leagues over on Steam.
The Crew 2 Demolition Derby will also introduce new challenges, skills and in-game activities. The game’s monthly vehicle drop also expands the available vehicle roster by adding of the 2017 Audi RS3 LMS 2017 and the Aeroboat VS12 2018.
