Publisher and developer Nexon has announced the start and end dates of the upcoming crossplay open beta for free-to-play third-person shooter The First Descendant, giving us a better sense of how much time we’ll have to try out its characters and arsenal.
The First Descendant’s crossplay open beta will be available to any interested players on PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, and PS5. Between its start and end dates, we’ll have almost an entire week to shoot foes and earn loot.

The start date of The First Descendant’s crossplay open beta is set to occur on September 19, 2023. Its end date is scheduled for September 26, with exact timings shown in the image above.

While the test itself is open to any interested players, pre-registering gets you 3 Default Descendant Full Body Skin trial vouchers to use while it’s live.
Pre-loading will be available starting on September 18. In addition, linking your Nexon account with those of the platforms on which you intend to play the beta allows you to transfer data between them.
As far as content goes, The First Descendant’s crossplay open beta includes eleven base characters and two ultimate characters alongside three fields, 50+ weapons, 300+ modules, and various other improvements.
