As December rolls in, The Game Awards 2022 prepares to both highlight the year’s greatest releases and give us one final opportunity to indulge in many new reveals before the holidays.
There’s some stark competition across its many categories but, regardless if you’re all about the new reveals or just curious to know whether or not Stray steals the Game of the Year award from <a href=”https://www.gamewatcher.com/reviews/elden-ring-review/13326”</a>Elden Ring</a>, you’ll want to keep track of the event’s start times.
The Game Awards 2022 Start Times
The Game Awards 2022 is slated to go live on December 8 or December 9, depending on where you’re watching from. The pre-show kicks off at the following start times – 4:30 PM PT/7:30 PM ET/12:30 AM GMT –, with the full event beginning 30 minutes later.

This year’s show will reportedly be shorter and viewers can tune in on Youtube, Twitch, Steam, as well as Twitter.
If you choose to watch on Twitch, you have the opportunity to grab some in-game goodies for titles like Fall Guys, Warframe, and Cult of the Lamb.
Registering and watching through Steam grants an opportunity to win a 512GB Steam Deck, as Valve is giving away one of its handheld devices every minute.
The Game Awards 2022 Reveals
In terms of reveals, Geoff Keighley told Epic Games that The Game Awards 2022 will give viewers “glimpses of 40 to 50 games,” including brand-new teasers of upcoming projects.
The same interview linked above also hints at a potential reveal of Hideo Kojima’s next project, which the developer has been teasing for a while now.
We’ll get a look at Star Wars Jedi: Survivor gameplay, after its release date was accidentally leaked on Steam earlier this week.
The Diablo Twitter account has also been teasing stuff over the last couple of days, which could mean that we’ll finally hear more about Diablo IV’s long-awaited release date, or at least get another look at the game.
The Game Awards 2022’s reveals also include exclusive Forspoken gameplay and a new Destiny 2: Lightfall trailer.
Extended gameplay footage from the Dead Space remake will also be revealed, while Final Fantasy XVI Producer Naoki Yoshida will deliver “a very special live presentation.”
We’ll see more of Tekken 8 and learn about an unannounced 505 Games project as well as Airship Syndicate’s new game, developed in collaboration with Digital Extremes.
The Crash Bandicoot Twitter account has also hinted at a potential reveal during The Game Awards 2022.
Koei Tecmo’s Wild Hearts will debut a new trailer during the show, as will Baldur’s Gate 3.
Although Hazelight’s Josef Fares will take to the stage as a presenter this year, perhaps there’s a chance we might get a hint or two at the studio’s upcoming game.
The Game Awards 2022 keeps most of its reveals under wraps until the show begins but there’s, thankfully, not that much time left until it kicks off. Just going by the names we’ve spotted so far, 2023 is bound to be a busy year.
