The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth is the newest title joining publisher Electronic Arts’ growing roster of mobile games. The free-to-play collectible RPG is inspired by J. R. R. Tolkien’s works, rather than Peter Jackson’s films, and the prospect of playing as the universe’s popular characters has many wondering if a PC release date might also be planned.
A potential PC release date for The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth would come after a few years without major releases inspired by Tolkien’s works, which fans would undoubtedly welcome.
Unfortunately, there’s currently no word about The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth getting a PC release date. Its initial reveal was fully centered on the game’s mobile version.

It will feature “immersive storytelling, turn-based combat, deep collection systems, and a wide roster of characters from across the vast universe of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit,” according to the publisher, pitting players against some of the realm’s most notable villains.
The mobile version is currently expected to enter limited regional beta testing during summer 2022.
While the lack of a PC release date for The Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle-earth will likely disappoint fans, we can at least cling to hope that the Gollum-centered game might see the light of day later this year.
