Dark fantasy adventure game The Midnight Walk proved instantly eye-catching in its trailer debut, instantly drawing us into its endearing-yet unsettling world. If you plan on outsmarting the monsters prowling its handcrafted landscapes, chances are that you’re wondering about when it will be released on Xbox Series X/S.
The title follows the The Burnt One who, alongside a lantern creature named Potboy, must navigate “a conflicting world of wonder and horror.” The latter’s light proves a crucial tool when navigating your surroundings, drawing closer to unraveling “five tales of fire and darkness” that feature several strange characters.
The Midnight Walk Xbox Series X/S Release
Anyone hoping to experience The Midnight Walk in all its stop motion glory on Microsoft’s latest consoles is, unfortunately, out of luck, as the game does not have a planned Xbox Series X/S release, at least as of February 2025.

Even its release trailer only included mentions of PC and PS5 (with VR support for both platforms), so it looks safe to assume that the title will not launch on Microsoft’s consoles at the same time.
This, however, does not exclude the possibility of an Xbox launch at some point further down the line. Publisher Fast Travel Games has yet to address the matter, which makes estimating when or if it might happen difficult.
Nevertheless, it’s not unheard of for games – especially smaller ones – to stagger their releases. Should more platforms be on the cards, we’ll get and update from the publisher.
