Indie developer Lightfoot Brothers has announced that its upcoming game, The Mystery of Woolley Mountain, now has a playable demo on PC.
The demo is said to give those who try it “an exclusive taste of the strange beasts, evil witches, confused automatons and wacky ropemen that lurk within Woolley Mountain”.
Described as an “an otherworldly point-and-click adventure”, The Mystery of Woolley Mountain stars the Helmholtz Resonators, a strange band of time travelling audio scientists that also play musical instruments. The game follows their attempt to rescue children kidnapped by the malevolent witch of Woolley Mountain.
The Mystery of Woolley Mountain takes inspiration from titles such as Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island. Its journey began on Kickstarter, where it attracted the attention of Ron Gilbert himself.
The Mystery of Woolley Mountain is set to release on March 29 on PC and Nintendo Switch. You can follow it via its Steam page and check out the latest trailer, showcasing some of the strange creatures the Helmholtz Resonators encounter during their adventure, below.
