Publisher 2K Games and developer Supermassive Games have unveiled The Quarry as their latest cinematic horror adventure game while also sharing details about its Deluxe Edition content and the pre-order bonuses available to players who purchase the game prior to launch.
The Quarry focuses on nine teenage camp counselors whose final day at summer camp turns into a nightmare. Players step in attempting to help the characters make it out alive as they’re beset by bloodthirsty locals and mysterious creatures and the game’s pre-order bonuses expand the range of available cinematic options.
If you purchase the title prior to launch, you get access to the Horror History Visual Filter Pack, which includes three cinematic visual filters inspired by different styles of horror films.
Indie horror enthusiasts can pick the 8mm-style film grain filter. If you’re more into 80s spooks, you also have a retro VHS aesthetic to choose from. Lastly, the classic black-and-white filter gives The Quarry a classic horror feel.
The Quarry’s Deluxe Edition contents include a number of ‘80s-themed character outfits alongside instant access to the Death Rewind system, which normally unlocks after beating the game, as well as the Gorefest Movie Mode option. The outfits will be made available in-game by August 8.
