The Witcher 3 Next-Gen Update Gets December Release Date
The Witcher 3’s next-gen update has locked down its release date to December 14, 2022, when it will be available for free for existing owners of the game on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. The Complete Edition will be purchasable digitally on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PS5 on the same day.
Both The Witcher 3’s next-gen update and its Complete Edition feature a series of enhancements to the acclaimed RPG, including ray tracing, faster loading times on consoles, and content inspired by the Netflix series which follows Geralt’s adventures.
A physical edition is also planned to be released at a later date. The developer will showcase these enhancements in a livestream scheduled to air next week on its Twitch channel.
In addition, the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will also receive an update featuring numerous additions and improvements, as well as the Netflix Witcher-themed additional content. Further details, including its release date, will be announced soon.
