Former id Software studio director Tim Willits announced today that he has taken on the role of Chief Creative Officer over at Saber Interactive.
The announcement comes after, last month, Tim Willits announced that he would leave id Software at the end of QuakeCon 2019. He spent 24 years with the studio.
Tim Willits Saber Interactive Chief Creative Officer
“I am excited to announce that on August 1st I became the Chief Creative Officer of Saber Interactive. I will be leading the creative vision of our five studios around the world.”, Willits wrote on Twitter.
Saber Interactive is the studio behind this year’s excellent co-op shooter World War Z and the NBA Playgrounds games, among others.
An Epic Games Store exclusive on PC, World War Z went on to sell more than 2 million copies, so it’ll be interesting to see where Saber Interactive will go next, now that it also has Tim Willits on board as its Chief Creative Officer.
