Titanfall 3 is easily one of the most wished-for games out there, any small mention of its name making fans perk up their ears in hopes of learning more about a potential release date.
Despite being sandwiched between 2016’s Battlefield and Call of Duty titles, the second entry in the series earned a name for itself thanks to an excellent single-player campaign paired with an intense multiplayer mode. The game’s unique blend of infantry and mech combat offered different flavors of intensity and players who haven’t quite had enough are desperately yearning for a Titanfall 3 release date.
Unfortunately, a third entry in the series isn’t currently in development, at least not officially. Developer Respawn Entertainment is focusing not only on the wildly popular battle royale game Apex Legends – which is set in Titanfall’s universe –, but also three different Star Wars games.
That’s a bit of a handful, even when considering that different teams are handling each project and, while the developer has previously hinted that more might be in store for the first-person shooter series in the future, there’s no official Titanfall 3 release date yet.

That being said, the development of new games is often kept under wraps for a good while, which leaves a small chance that the title might be in the works now or at some point in the future.
The shooter’s community was riled up in May 2022, when Twitter user <a href=”https://twitter.com/Onion00048/status/1522899159380070401”</a>Onion00048</a> shared a screenshot showing a Titanfall 3 reportedly being up for pre-order at a GameStop store in Nuremberg, Germany, with a supposed release date of Q4 2022.
While it is true that physical stores have previously leaked upcoming video games, it’s worth taking this with a sizeable grain of salt.
Stores do sometimes allow pre-orders before titles are even announced, especially when they’re highly anticipated and/or part of a popular series, which may be the case here.
If Electronic Arts does decide to surprise us with a Titanfall 3 release date announcement at some point over the coming months, we’ll be sure to update this article.
