Publisher Sega and developer Creative Assembly today announced Total War: Three Kingdoms - Fates Divided Chapter Pack as the next DLC for 2019’s grand strategy game. Taking place after the events of the main campaign, it explores the rivalry between Cao Cao and Yuan Shao as they fight to establish their own empires.
The Fates Divided Chapter Pack comes with a set of new units including the “Ye Vanguard Spearmen, Xiongnu Noble Cavalry and Qingzhou Halberds, as well as the chance to control the elite Northern Army should you claim victory over your adversaries.”
While Cao Cao and Yuan Shao might be the stars of the show, Liu Yan will also be playable in a “cross-generational campaign”. As you try to “establish a legacy for his family in the shadow of the Han Empire,” you will make use of his Aspiration mechanic to prepare the faction for when Liu Zhang’s - Liu Yan’s son - takes over.
As with previous DLC, players can also expect a free update that reworks both Cao Cao’s and Yuan Shao’s factions, adds a new Imperial Intrigue mechanic alongside improvements to the Faction Council, and more.
Total War: Three Kingdoms - Fates Divided Chapter Pack launches on March 11 and will be available for the price of £7.99/ €9.99/ $9.99. You can find it on Steam as soon as its page goes live.
