Total War: Warhammer 3 - Omens of Destruction promises a host of notable additions, both in terms of legendary lords and units, but even if you decide to skip the DLC for the time being, update 6.0 lets Khorne enthusiasts rampage across the world as Arbaal the Undefeated.
The loyalty this ruthless champion has shown the Blood God earned him the one-handed axe known as the Destroyer, which the free legendary hero uses to relentlessly slay his enemies. Whether a powerful enemy lord or thousands of lowly grunts, Arbaal carves his way through them all the same.
Total War: Warhammer 3 Update 6.0 Arbaal the Undefeated
His campaign mechanic, the Challenges of Khorne, reflects the cursed champion’s obligation to keep his master satisfied, presenting several tasks spread across the world.
Once Total War: Warhammer 3’s update 6.0 lands, Arbaal can instantly teleport to these encounters, which are grouped into three categories – Worthy Battles, Perfect Challenges, and Ultimate Bloodbaths.
Vanquishing his opponents earns Khorne’s Favour. The resource is used both when teleporting to these key battles as well as activating Khorne’s Blessings, which grant additional boons.
The blessings remain active until toggled off, draining a specific amount of Khorne’s Favour each turn.
While any of Arbaal’s armies can complete Khorne’s challenges, only update 6.0’s free legendary lord can instantly travel to their locations and that of his capital settlement.
On the battlefield, he thrives in the midst of it all. Aside from passively gaining bonuses to attack based on the number of enemies that surround him, he can also disrupt enemy formations with a massive explosion as well as use the Eye of Khorne ability to deal massive damage and turn an opposing unit into a friendly Spawn of Khorne.
Alongside Arbaal the Undefeated, which is available to all owners of Total War: Warhammer III when update 6.0 goes live, the Omens of Destruction DLC brings us Skulltaker, Golgfag Maneater, and Gorbad Ironclaw as new legendary lords.
