Tropico 6 is growing again, but this time around, the new piece of downloadable content focuses on making the fictional dictatorship a bit greener thanks to the power of nature.
Kalypso Media and Realmforge Studios shared the news on February 13, offering longtime players of the sixth installment in the long-running city sim strategy series a rundown of the new content and features coming to the game on March 6 via this paid DLC.
According to the Steam page’s description, Tropico 6 – Return to Nature brings “the benefits of nature” (whichever they might be) to the dictatorship thanks to “a mysterious new world wonder” called the Biggdrasil. Of course, new buildings are at the center of this DLC’s offerings, but the whole package seemingly goes beyond that.
These are the key features and new pieces of content which have been announced so far:
- Treehugger’s Paradise: In Tropico 6 – Return to Nature you build your way to a greener Tropico with 15 new buildings, including Forest Schools, Tree Houses and the iconic Biggdrasil – the island’s first homegrown world wonder and the first one you can customize.
- ‘El Árbol De Maravilla’: Play through a new scenario, designed to help you find your way to get the most out of nature’s abundance. The scenario map is also available for you to tinker around in sandbox mode.
- Make Tropico Green Again: Flex your power with 3 new edicts like ‘Reforestation’, ‘Natural Reaction’ and ‘Tropical Paradise’ edicts – because you care.
- No Greens, No Glory: Introducing the new ‘Nature’ value, a fresh, not to say organic, metric that works similar to the ‘Beauty’ value. Keep it high and revel in the ‘harvest’ from your new buildings.
- Impress Sunny Flowers: Spruce up your style with your new Nature Suit and adorn your palace garden with one of 4 scenic Biggdrasil statues.
Player won’t have to wait much longer to check this new bite-sized expansion out for themselves. While the price tag hasn’t been revealed yet, we can make a safe prediction, based on the content included, that it might sell for $14,99 like most previous DLCs for Tropico 6. As always, it’ll be available to purchase on PC (Steam, GOG, and Epic), PS4/5, and Xbox consoles.
