Before you ask, the picture featured above has absolutely no relation to Troy: A Total War Saga, but it did feel appropriate regardless. Now that that’s out of the way, it’s time to get excited about the next mainline Total War game. Can you tell where it’s going to be set?
While there’s been no official announcement telling us anything about Troy: A Total War Saga, it seems that the print version of PC Gamer has got an exclusive look at Creative Assembly’s next flagship. We know precious little, but we can glean a few bits of information from the magazine itself.
Namely, it’s the subtitle that intrigues us the most. ‘Epic battle in a world of gods and monsters’ may sound awfully generic at first, but we ought to keep in mind that Creative Assembly, the developers, have already got experience in bifurcating their games. Their previous release, Three Kingdoms, featured Records Mode and Romance Mode, which allowed players to choose whether they wanted to play the historical or fantasy version of events.
It may well happen that Troy does something similar. After all, CA can do monsters very, very well, if Total War: Warhammer is anything to go by.
In any case, we’ve got exciting times ahead, and we’re very much looking forward to relaying the latest Troy: A Total War Saga news to you as soon as it hits. Stay tuned.
