Void Sols doesn’t take the form of a typical soulslike experience you might have been expecting, yet it could propose a challenge on par with titles like Elden Ring and Dark Souls.
Imagine Geometry Wars combined in a blender with the gameplay of an action RPG soulslike game.
Void Sols demo is now live on Steam
After the successful launch of a prologue version in 2022, publisher Modern Wolf has come in to help fund the full launch of Void Sols, which should happen in 2024. The demo launched today should take about 70 minutes to playthrough, if you want to give it a go.
Here’s an overview sent to us by Modern Wolf:
Void Sols takes players through a top-down shadowy geometric world, challenging them to take down sword-wielding grunts, crafty arrow-flinging fiends and brutal bosses. Personalise your build as you and uncover the secrets of this subjugated world.
“I’m excited to see how people will react to Void Sols”, said Freddy Frydenlund, Creative Director at Modern Wolf.
“The character design and art style feel like a nod to retro gaming but with an updated look. We’ve worked closely with the artist Anna Hollinrake to bring this world to life and think we’ve created something that will stand out in the Souls-like genre. I hope the public falls in love with the game as much as we have!”
You can find the demo and Void Sols on Steam.
