The latest Two Point Hospital DLC is out now, and it's set in the tropical climate of Pebberley Island. There are a lot of challenges to face, but do you need to have finished Two Point Hospital to play it? Do you need to have got to a certain point in the game at least to take on this new expansion?
The Two Point Hospital Pebberley Island DLC actually warns you away from it if you've not got to a certain point in the main game, but do you need to pay attention to that? We've got the answer below.
Do you need to finish the game to play the Two Point Hospital DLC?
Just like the previous Two Point Hospital DLC expansion, the Bigfoot DLC, Pebberley Island is unlocked after you finish (or rather, get a 1 Star Rating) on the game's first level, Flemington. Unlike Bigfoot, the main menu advises that you should also have got 1 Star on Duckworth-upon-Bilge, one of the later levels in the game. Do you need to pay attention to that, however?
The short answer is: no, not exactly. You are under no obligation to have completed Two Point Hospital's main campaign to play Pebberley Island. However, the further you are in the main game, the easiest you'll find things playing the DLC. Pebberley Island's maps and diseases will push your hospital management skills to the limit - especially as soon as fire and frogs start raining down from the sky.
You'll need a range of diagnosis rooms in particular (have you unlocked X-Ray yet?), and the more diseases you can cure the more money you'll bring in. So yes, you do not need to have completed Two Point Hospital to play Pebberley Island, but hopefully you'll have at least played a few levels - preferably half the game - to really make the most of it. Otherwise, you may struggle to find the fountain of youth that weird adventurer's after.
The Two Point Hospital Pebberley Island DLC expansion is available now, for £6.99/$8.99.
