Two Point Hospital is the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital and one of our favourite games of last year, so the chance to play it again is one we'd jump at. We'll soon get our chance, as Two Point Hospital expansion 2 will launch later this month.
The new Two Point Hospital Pebberley Island DLC expansion will take the game to more tropical climates, accompanying an Indiana Jones (via Wallace & Gromit) style explorer as he searches for the fountain of youth across three new levels. It will launch in two weeks. The full details, and the first trailer, are below.
The first Two Point Hospital expansion released in December and was set in snowy mountains, now Pebberley Island takes players to a tropical landscape. The three new levels/hospitals are the beach-set Pebberley Reef, the sentient jungle of Overgrowth, and atop the ruins of, er, Topless Mountain. One thing we particularly like is in the Undergrowth jungle level, where there aren't exterior walls and the hospital appears to be outside.
There will be 24 new diseases, with 10 visual diseases, and you can check a few of these out in the trailer below. These include having a snooker ball for a head and being turned into a parrot (let me guess - "bird flu"?). There will be three new specialized treatment rooms too, which are the fun part.
The whole time you'll be accompanied by explorer and germaphobe Wiggy Silverbottom, who is voiced by chap-hop artist Professor Elemental. Together you're searching for an immortality granting spring somewhere on Pebberley Island, which seems rather more story-based than Two Point Hospital has been up until this point - and we're all for that.
The Two Point Hospital Pebberley Island DLC expansion will be available March 18 for £6.99/$8.99.
