Two Point Hospital, the fantastic update to Bullfrog's classic Theme Hospital, was one of our favourite games of last year, but other than the Bigfoot DLC expansion it's not had any major updates - until now, as Two Point Hospital Mod Support launches at last.
Mod support consists of the new Two Point Hospital Interior Designer, which allow players to create a hospital that looks exactly how they want it to - and share with the world via Steam Workshop, support for which has also been added.
The new Interior Designer and Steam Workshop support is available right now for Two Point Hospital, and the studio has released a short tutorial video on how to go about designing new decor for your hospitals - which you can see below. It seems quite easy to use, and has been released as a free update for the game.
You can check out the Two Point Hospital Steam Workshop community page for everything available, including a load of mods that the game's designers have cooked up already, if you'd like to try out the new mod support.
Before the game came out, we asked Technical Director and Studio Co-Founder Ben Hymers about mod support for Two Point Hospital, and he replied "yeah, we’d be silly not to... Personally I’m a huge fan of modding in games, and it’s popular for this type of sim game. I’d love to get some level of support in there. It won’t be for launch, but we shall investigate!" It seems they've finished their investigation, and this is the first step for mod support in the game. Hopefully there'll be some sort of Disease Maker soon...
Now, can someone make that carpet from The Shining please?
