There's hundreds of Upcoming PC Games releasing in 2018 and 2019, but which ones should we be looking out for? What Upcoming PC Games should we be saving our hard earned cash for?
The truth is that some of these games might turn out to be a really big disappointment on release, but let's keep positive! Based on past releases and our personal choice, we believe that these will be the best Upcoming PC Games to look out for in 2018 and 2019.
We'll do our best to provide you with a detailed list of Upcoming PC Games, including release dates and a Gameplay Trailer for each release that we mention. Your opinion really does matter to us, so if you feel there's a game missing or something that should be added, please let us know in the comments at the bottom of this page. We love to hear what you're all looking forward to in the video game space.
Resident Evil 2 Remake
At least, we finally know that Resident Evil 2 Remake will be released on 25th January, 2019 for the PC. The remake has been complete rebuilt from the ground up and features a deeper narrative experience. That means that we're likely to see additional content and areas when it releases, so not everything we will be the same as the 1998 release of the original game.
Reports suggest that Hunk and Tofu will be back, along with the option to use the original soundtrack. We can't wait to play the Resident Evil 2 remake in January and get frightened by those classic George A. Romero zombies all over again. We've put together an Everything We Know About Resident Evil 2 Remake Guide if you want to know more.
Resident Evil 2 Remake Release Date: 25th January, 2019
Fallout 76
Fallout 76 is going to be a multiplayer survival prequel that takes place 80 years after the Nuclear Fallout and will be set in West Virginia. Bethesda says that it will be "four times the size" of Fallout 4 and there is "sixteen times" the detail in the game's environment. We're looking forward to its release on 14th November, 2018.
Fallout 76 Release Date: 14th November, 2018
Cyberpunk 2077
CD Projekt RED's next open-world RPG is Cyberpunk 2077, which will mostly focus on a single-player experience when it launches, but there are plans for multiplayer modes too - these won't be available until after launch. We don't have any information on a release date yet, but we're expecting it to be released in 2019 or 2020. CD Projekt won't want to work on the Witcher 4 until this is out, but we don't mind because we're really excited about Cyberpunk 2077.
Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date: Expected in 2019 or 2020.
Rage 2
The sequel no one asked for but we're pretty sure everyone will be happy they got. Avalanche Studios, the developers of Just Cause and (appropriately) Mad Max, are great at insane open-world sandboxes, but they're often not so hot at moment-to-moment shooting and close-quarters battle. That's where Rage and Doom creators id Software come in. Teaming the masters of the open world sandbox with the masters of the FPS genre is a stroke of genius, and should allow Rage 2 to live up to the crazy wasteland premise where the original Rage failed. We honestly can't wait.
Rage 2 Release Date: Spring 2019.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider
Shadow of the Tomb Raider is the third entry for this generation of Tomb Raider games, and it will be released on the 14th September. Following Tomb Raider (2013) and Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), Shadow of the Tomb Raider will conclude Lara Croft’s origin story.
Shadow of the Tomb Raider Release Date: 14th September, 2018
Two Point Hospital
Two Point Studios are working on a spiritual successor to Theme Hospital, and the best part of this is that the team is made up of ex-Bullfrog and Lionhead developers, so we should be on to a real winner here. We don't have a solid release date for it yet, but we do expect Two Point Hospital to be released for the PC at the end of this year.
Two Point Hospital Release Date: Expected Fall 2018
Tropico 6
Kalypso Media are back with another instalment of the Tropico franchise, Tropico 6. We don't have a exact release date yet, but we do know that it will be coming later on this year. October or November would be a good guess we'd say. Check out our hands-on preview from September.
Tropico 6 Release Date: Expected Fall 2018
Generation Zero
Avalanche Studios are working on Generation Zero, which will be the studios first self-published game, and is a robot-hunting open-world co-op experience. The first trailer seemed to give it an '80s vibe with the awesome soundtrack, so we hope the full release features it too. We expect it to release sometime in 2019.
Generation Zero Release Date: Fall 2019
Skull & Bones
Ubisoft Singapore are working on Skull and Bones, which upon first look could make you think that this was put together to cater to people that enjoyed the naval warfare in Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, but Ubisoft says that it's much more than that. It should be released in 2019.
Skull & Bones Release Date: 2019
Age of Wonders: Planetfall
When you think of Age of Wonders you normally associate it with fantasy, but after being purchased by Paradox Interactive, Triumph Studios are a different beast now, and that beast wants Sci-fi. Age of Wonders: Planetfall is going to take the series into a sci-fi setting for the first time, when it releases for the PC in hopefully 2019.
Age of Wonders: Planetfall Release Date: 2019
Strange Brigade
Strange Brigade is similar to games like Left for Dead or Gears of War's Horde Mode, where you must band together with 1-4 players to fight hordes of the undead in a 1930s Egyptian setting. Rebellion recently revealed that it will be released on 28th August, 2018.
Strange Brigade Release Date: 28th August, 2018
The Sinking City
The Sinking City is set in the 1920's and is a game of adventure and investigation set in an open world inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. It's certainly set to be one for the horror fans when it releases on 21st March, 2019.
The Sinking City Release Date: 21st March, 2019
