Warframe's relatively small and simple Daily Nightwave Challenges oftentimes require you to kill a set number of enemies with a specific damage type. With this short guide, we'll teach you how to do Blast damage in Warframe and how to mod for it.
Warframe Blast damage is not a meta damage type, unlike Viral and Corrosive, and since it is most useful against Grineer Machinery and Fossilized Infested health types - which are rare - it is not often modded for. Blast is, however, quite fun, as it blows up enemies sky-high.
How to do Blast Damage in Warframe?</h2>
The simplest way to go about dishing out Blast damage is to get yourself a grenade launcher such as the Penta, Tonkor, or even the Zarr cannon. These weapons deal innate Blast damage, but if you can't get your paws on any of them, worry not, because any weapon can be easily modded to dish out Blast, too.
There are four key mods to concern yourself with, and they're the same across melee, primary, and secondary armament categories, even though each mod has a unique name. You'll want to look into Heat and Cold mods, and you'll want both the dual-stat elementals, and the pure damage elementals. Combining them in a single build will not only ensure lots of Blast damage per shot, but also an increased chance to proc Blast element, which will knock down enemies in a small area-of-effect.
That said, as long as you can get a single Cold and a single Heat mod onto your weapon, they'll combine into Blast no matter what, and then you'll be able to churn out Blast damage with every hit that connects.
