Warframe's many unique resources are wonderful fuel for collectionist mentality - there's so much colourful and interesting stuff to collect wherever you go that it's hard to contain your playing sessions to any limited time window. Some resources, such as Ferrite, are easy to collect, but needed in large quantities. So how do you get as much Ferrite as you need?
The way to go about establishing a solid Warframe Ferrite farm is to find a group of like-minded people, equip a Nekros Warframe (or any other loot-bolstering Frame, really) and go ham on certain locations strew across the Starchart.
Where is the best Warframe Ferrite Farm?
Ferrite is needed for a whole lot of stuff in Warframe. This basic metal-like compound will be required to craft weaponry and Warframes, but its main expenditure will likely be in crafting various expendables, such as Cyphers - the auto-hacking tools that you're going to want to have by the dozens at any given moment.
As the screenshot above shows, Ferrite drops at the following locations:
- Mercury
- Earth
- Neptune
- The Void
- Lua
Playing missions on any of these locations will necessarily net you at least some amount of Ferrite, as drops contain 50-100 units each, but you're going to need thousands upon thousands of Ferrite. The way to go about getting as much is to play endless Earth and/or Void missions with Nekros, as this Warframe's Desecrate ability destroys enemies' bodies to spawn an additional resource drop.
This can be done solo, though energy efficacy is likely to be a problem if you're an early or mid-game player. Joining up a dedicated Ferrite farming crew is as easy as typing 'LFG Ferrite Farm' in the appropriate chat window, so be sure to try that out.
We hope you find this guide handy in your future Warframe endeavours!
