Publisher Slitherine has announced its participation in the Warhammer Skulls festival – which runs until next Wednesday – by unveiling new DLC for two of its strategy games. While Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector will see the Sisters of Battle swooping in as a fully playable faction, Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War bolsters the rosters of its factions with new units.
Although the Adepta Sorioritas are already a part of Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector since last year, the Sisters of Battle DLC gives them “a complete roster of units and tailored gameplay mechanics,” according to the publisher.

Starting today, players can sample the Penitent Engine unit as part of a separate free update for the game. The same update also expands the game’s Planetary Supremacy mode by adding HQ upgrades and complete tech trees for all playable factions.
Battlesector’s Sister of Battle DLC will be accompanied by a free update that introduces the Daemonic Incursion mode which “will see players fend off endless hordes of Daemons and survive as long as possible.”
There’s no word yet when Daemonic Incursion and the Sisters of Battle DLC will launch, however, the publisher has confirmed several new Daemon units will first make their way into the Planetary Supremacy mode.
In addition, Warhammer 40,000: Battlesector is discounted by 40% for the entire duration of the Warhammer Skulls festival.
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War will also benefit from a discount that slices its price by a whopping 90%. Better yet, the game will also be free to try this week.
In terms of new content, its Escalation Pack has also been unveiled, expanding the roster of every existing faction with one new unit, including the Megatrakk Scrapjets for Orks, Skitarii Rangers for the Adeptus Mechanicus, Hive Guards for Tyranids, and others.
