As Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters’ launch approaches, publisher Frontier Foundry and developer Complex Games today unveiled a remastered version of the Ultramarine chant from 1998’s original game.
Composer Doyle W. Donehoo – who also handles soundtrack duties for Daemonhunters – provides a modern take on 1998’s Ultramarine chant, which was originally composed by Jim Crew.
The track is one of the more popular ones on the original Chaos Gate’s soundtrack thanks to its determined chanting, which aims to embolden any Ultramarine in the fight against the Emperor’s enemies and a handful of soup-related memes.
If you’re curious how Daemonhunters’ remastered Ultramarine chant compares to the track that inspired it, you can give it a listen on YouTube or download it for free from the game’s official website.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters puts you in control of a customizable squad of Grey Knights, tasking you with pushing back the spread of the Bloom, one of Nurgle’s deadly plagues.
Your ship, the Baleful Edict, acts as a mobile base that you use to recruit troops, customize loadouts, and plan your next strike.
Turn-based tactical battles then complement its strategic layers, seeing your Knights go toe to toe with cultists, Chaos Marines, and many other monstrosities.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate - Daemonhunters is headed to PC on May 5. For more on the game, you can read our hands-off preview and class guide.
