Valve’s handheld device continues to make its ways to more users, and its growing library of supported titles plays a decisive role. As more games keep being added, it’s natural to wonder what Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun’s Steam Deck support status might be at launch. Here is what we know so far.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Steam Deck Support
Valve currently uses four different terms to clarify a game’s Steam Deck compatibility. Depending on the title in quest, it can be verified, playable, unsupported, or unknown.
There’s a bit more nuance than you’d expect going into what they truly mean, but we’ll keep things simple and solely focus our attention on where Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun is right now.
As of May 2023, Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun’s Steam Deck support status was still unknown. This essentially meant that the game had yet to be verified by Steam, so it was unclear how it performed on its handheld device.

Those hoping this would change in the lead-up to launch were also in for a dose of disappointment. Publisher Focus Entertainment clarified that would not be the case.
“Steam Deck will not be supported at release,” it said in a FAQ thread in the game’s dedicated Steam Discussions section.
That all changed on July 25, 2023, when the title’s Steam Deck status was officially changed to Verified, meaning that it should now be fully functional on the device.
That is what you need to know about Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun Steam Deck support.
