Fatshark revealed during Warhammer Skulls Festival Darktide’s ‘Rejects Unite’ content update, which it says will be the “most significant” update since its release back on 30th November.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Rejects Unite Update launches soon and will add two new missions, earnable cosmetics, updates to the store, a new enemy known as the Chaos Spawn, and the much requested crossplay support.
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Rejects Unite Patch Notes
After a deliberate break to enhance the user experience, the Premium Store makes a comeback. On the cosmetic front, Rejects Unite improves inventory management with a Lock/Unlock view for easy tracking of obtained items. The update also heralds the return of a familiar adversary: the Chaos Spawn.
“We know we missed the mark at launch,” says Juan Martinez, Executive Producer Darktide. “We acknowledged it, went through community feedback, and changed our approach to servicing the game. We’re updating Darktide regularly and have released two content drops, nine updates, and numerous hotfixes since launch. And we’re not stopping. Our latest drop, Rejects Unite, adds even more new content for everyone to sink their teeth into. I couldn’t be prouder of what the team has achieved thus far. And there’s more to come soon.”
Please note that we originally reported that the Reject Unite content update would be released today, although this was an error on our part and it will actually be released during the Warhammer Skulls Festival, not after the skulls live event.
Here’s everything that will be included in the Reject Unite, which is launching during the Warhammer Skulls Festival, hopefully in June.
- Rejects Unite Estimated Release Date:
Warhammer Skulls officially ends on June 1st, so it should release sometime during this time period.</li>
Reject Unite Content List:
2 NEW MISSIONS
- Archivum Sycorax - Throneside
Archivum Sycorax is within our strike range, and there’s plenty of data buried inside. Get in, access the Deep Archives, and bring us back something juicy. We’ve seditionists to root out.”
- Ascension Riser 31 - Transit
Remix mission Ascension Riser 31 is part of our first community event. Players will unite to achieve 3 challenges. Each challenge will unlock a reward; the last will be Ascension Riser 31. The Moebians are due to pay off some of their co-conspirators. The exchange is happening in a Chasm Station Transit Hub. Said payment’s taking the form of prismata crystals. Worthless to you, but handy if you’re manufacturing heavy weapons.
ADDED ENEMY
- Added the Chaos Spawn - an old fiend returns
COSMETICS
- Lock/Unlocked cosmetic inventory view, for players to be able to track better what they have obtained so far
- New earnable cosmetics
- Earnable cosmetic shop
PREMIUM STORE
- After a break to improve the experience, we are re-opening the premium store, featuring new sets of cosmetic items.
Crossplay support is expected to be available soon, as indicated by Fatshark. We’ve contacted them in an attempt to ascertain a specific launch date for it. Once available, players using either Steam, Microsoft Windows Store, or Game Pass should be able to participate in gameplay together.
