Warhammer 40k: Gladius - Relics of War might not have been making headlines much as of late, but that doesn't mean that Slitherine haven't been hard at work at getting more content developed for the game.
The Reinforcement Pack DLC for Gladius - Relics of War is simple in its intent and content, yet signals great changes for how the gameplay is balanced around them. This expansion introduces five new types of units for each of the game's currently available factions, each fulfilling a specific niche.
The Imperial Guard will get the Tempestus Scions, who are much closer to the might of an average Space Marine than your garden variety grunt is, while the Astartes get the legendary Land Raider tank/APC to sow absolute terror wherever it hits the ground.
While the Necrons will be gaining access to their infamous Immortals, the Orks will call upon the Flash Gitz, the richest and the most obnoxious of all Ork-kind. Interestingly, we will also see the neutral Neophyte Hybrids introduced, which spells some interesting things about the upcoming new race for Gladius - Relics of War.
The Reinforcement Pack is just the first in a series of planned expansions for Gladius, the next of which will apparently be a whole new race! Since the existence of Hybrids implies Genestealer operations, we feel we can safely assume that Tyranids will soon be taking an interest in this battlefield as well...
First things first, though: The Reinforcement Pack will be coming out this Friday, on the 19th of October, (priced at €4,99) and it already has a Steam page for you to check out.
