Publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Gasket Games today announced that Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground has locked down its release date to late May while also revealing the title’s third playable faction. The Maggotkin of Nurgle join the fray, eager to spread corruption and claim new victims for the pestilent Chaos God.
Described as “a tide of death riding on a behemoth’s back,” the Maggotkin of Nurgle “corrupt everything they come across, creating hazardous zones on the battlefield that they can harvest to reap a terrible reckoning on their enemies.” Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground pits them against the armor-clad Stormcast Eternals and ghoulish Nighthaunt.
The title promises fast-paced turn-based strategy battles across its non-linear single player roguelike campaigns and online PvP matches. You don’t just lead your army, deciding where it moves and who it attacks on the battlefield, but can also customize it using cards obtained from battles.
They unlock new units, skills, weapons, and gear that increase the number of available options, letting you tap into different playstyles.
Warhammer - Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground’s release date is set to occur on May 27. The title is headed to PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Pre-orders are also live and you can grab a copy for the discounted price of 33,99€ or your regional equivalent.
