Warhammer: Vermintide 2 celebrates its 5th Anniversary this week, and Fatshark is celebrating with a limited-time event, XP boosts, and a free-to-play week starting today.
On Steam, new players will be able to sample the dingy delights of Vermintide 2 for the grand price of free whilst enjoying a Triple XP boost.
All players can earn a portrait frame by completing the event quest ‘A Quiet Drink’, which runs from today until March 19th. Triple XP will also last for the entirety of the event. Fatshark describes the event quest as follows:
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 A Quiet Drink Quest
'’A Quiet Drink invites players to celebrate by drinking their fill in Helmgart’s local tavern, only to find it overrun by ratmen. Players must traverse the town (with ale goggles on) to find their next drink while clearing Helmgart’s infestation of Chaos along the way.’’
In addition, there’s a new patch (4.8.5) out that sorts out a couple of immediate issues including localisation, but is mostly stuffed with things to prep the game for the event. Outside the game itself, there’s a Twitch stream on March 9 that will feature discussions with several of the game’s voice actors. You can visit it at 16.30 CET on Twitch.
