During today’s Warhammer Skulls Festival, publisher and developer Fatshark lifted the lid on more content coming to Warhammer: Vermintide 2 during its fifth year of existence. The new free Karak Azgaraz DLC, a fourth career for fiery mage Sienna, and an in-game event are on the way.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s free Karak Azgaraz DLC comes with a dose of nostalgia for veterans of the first title in the series, introducing three levels inspired by the maps bearing the same name from the original game.

Launching on June 13 for PC and summer 2023 for consoles, it tasks the Ubersreik Five with helping a struggling dwarf war party sabotage a Skaven army to turn the tide in their favor and successfully counterattack.
Sienna’s fourth career is confirmed to launch at some point during Fall 2023, although no details were shared about how it alters the fiery mage’s playstyle.
In addition, an in-game event celebrating the Warhammer Skulls Festival 2023 has kicked off and is set to last until June 4.
While it’s live, maps feature skulls that players can pick up to “affect gameplay for greater challenge.” Find 100 of them and you’ll be rewarded with a limited-time player portrait frame.
On top of that, a community goal will also be active during the in-game event, challenging players to slaughter as many enemies as possible.
Should the community succeed, players will obtain five limited-time red-colored weapon variants to wield in battle.
Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is available now on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PS4.
