Publisher and developer Fatshark has surprise launched Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s Outcast Engineer Career DLC yesterday.
The Outcast Engineer Career DLC turns Warhammer: Vermintide 2’s resident dwarf Bardin Goreksson into a grumpy inventor.
While his newfound love for dwarf technology required a period of seclusion, his appetite for slaying Skaven and Chaos Warriors remains unchanged; he just goes about it somewhat differently now.

Bardin might have not graduated from the Engineers Guild, but he still does a good job of shredding opponents using his minigun – the Steam-Assisted Crank Gun (Mk II) – and blasting them to bits using grenades from his utility belt.
The Masterwork Pistol and Cog Hammer complete the list of murder tools added in the Outcast Engineer Career DLC, while Bardin’s new skill tree focuses on improving his grenades.
Purchasing it for 3,49€ or your regional equivalent also grants access to a new skin, alongside new voice lines and challenges.
A separate purchasable cosmetic upgrade adds even more skins for the dwarf hero. If you’re interested in learning where Bardin’s interest for technology comes from, this lore-filled post should clear things up.
You can grab the Warhammer: Vermintide 2 Outcast Engineer Career DLC from Steam and complete your premium career collection with the Grail Knight.
