Publisher and developer Total Mayhem Games today unveiled We Were Here Forever as the next entry in its series of cooperative puzzle adventure games.
Described as a “mysterious Antarctic adventure”, We Were Here Forever sees two players trapped in the sinister realm of Castle Rock. Taunted by a malevolent Jester who doesn’t sound too interested in your well-being, it’s your job to work together and escape.
Like previous entries in the series, We Were Here Forever is only playable in online co-op, requiring two players with working microphones. This is largely because of the way its puzzles are built.
You’ll have to communicate with your trapped buddy and often act as each other’s eyes to figure out solutions. Especially when under pressure, this is easier said than done.
While the unsettling Jester is the star of We Were Here Forever’s reveal trailer, which you can watch below, there’s a good chance that other dark forces also have some form of influence over Castle Rock.
We’ll see exactly what’s in store for us when the title launches on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, and PS4 later in 2021. In the meantime, you can wishlist it on Steam.
