Halo: Reach is going to be the very first major Halo release that launches on Steam sometime in the near-ish future, but when is that actually going to happen, you might be wondering? With the hype at an all-time high, we can't help but ask when is Halo Reach coming to the Master Chief Collection?
According to the latest info, the developers, 343 Industries and Splash Damage, have been taking their time in pulling the game's long-awaited PC release just right. Coming at a staggered pace, all of the legendary Halo games will be coming to Steam soon, but the question is when, exactly?
When is Halo Reach coming to the Master Chief Collection?
Speaking with PCG, the developers said that there are no firm PC release dates set for any of the six modern Halo games yet. Furthermore, public testing of Halo: Reach multiplayer - which was slated to kick off this April - has also been postponed, as the porting process has proven to be more complex and layered than devs first suspected.
However, Brian Jarrard (343's Community Director) noted that "Flighting should begin rolling out to Insiders in June. But, it's highly likely that a representative work-in-progress flight-build slice of Reach PC will be on hand in Microsoft's booth at E3." With 'flighting' being Reach's multiplayer beta testing procedure.
Jarrard promised that more info would be coming soon, but that no firm release dates should be expected just yet. Stay tuned for more as it is revealed, right here at Game Watcher. In the meantime, watch the 1-hour Halo Reach PC gameplay stream down below!
