World of Warcraft Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event has been a fixture of the MMORPG since its early days, remaining a relevant place to visit as The Burning Crusade and Wrath of the Lich King expansions launched. In turn, this makes tracking its start and end dates fairly important if you’re looking to turn in cards for decks or just relax with its minigames.
WoW Classic’s Darkmoon Faire is a monthly event whose schedules differ only slightly between Wrath of the Lich King and older expansions. Below, we cover its start and end dates for its latest iteration alongside a few of the cool things you can do and obtain while it’s around.
WoW Classic Darkmoon Faire Event
Before WotLK, WoW Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event used to begin setting up on the first Friday of every month, opening its gates on Monday.
Following the launch of World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic, the Darkmoon Faire event has locked down its start date to the first Sunday of every month, at midnight server time. It is slated to end the following Saturday, just before midnight server time (11:59 PM).

WoW: WotLK Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event takes place in one of three areas, rotating between them each month.
Depending on when you’re looking to attend, you may find it in Elwynn Forest, Mulgore, and Terrokar Forest (as of The Burning Crusade).
Although Elwynn Forest and Mulgore are zones that belong to the Alliance and the Horde, you can still reach them even as a member of the opposing faction.
WoW: WotLK Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event has a series of minigames you can participate in if you’re looking to take a break from your regular adventuring.
If, instead, you’re aiming to nab sweet new trinkets, you can also do so by turning in completed decks of cards. Each deck is made up of eight cards, rewarding a different trinket when turned in.
While cards belonging to older decks can also be obtained as random drops from certain mobs, those introduced in Wrath need to be obtained via the Inscription profession or from the Auction House.
WoW: Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event also has a reputation track of its own, an NPC doling out buffs, alongside exclusive currency (Prize Tickets) that can be exchanged for a variety of items.
To earn them, you need to complete dedicated repeatable quests, bring animal parts that are in demand, or items obtained from specific professions such as Engineering.
There are a few more awesome things you can find on its grounds if you take time to explore on your own.
That should now be easier, with WoW: WotLK Classic’s Darkmoon Faire event start and end dates covered. For more on the MMORPG, here’s when Wrath’s Phase 3 is set to begin.
