With the season of giving almost upon us Isonzo developer BlackMill Games is feeling extra generous towards its players.
The WWI shooter will be getting a huge free bundle of goodies next month with the Caporetto expansion, and there’ll be some paid DLC coming as well.
The Caporetto expansion will include a brand-new faction in the form of the German Empire, over ten new weapons, and three new maps, all tied into the historical Battle of Caporetto, where Italian forces were knocked back by German and Austro-Hungarian forces. It may not be a positive wartime addition to the Italian Front-focused entry in BlackMill’s WW1 games, but it had a significant impact on Italy going forward.
Caporetto’s maps will form part of a larger-scale battle, starting with a rain-soaked hillside assault during Autumn, and culminating in a rush on Hill 1114.
In addition, the Royal Units DLC will offer paid cosmetic options for the new German forces, including cosmetics for 13 unit types and several multi-faction customizations. There will also be an expanded level cap for all classes, and a brand-new prestige level for veteran players.
The Caporetto expansion and Royal Units DLC will arrive in Insonzo on December 5th, with the latter being available to purchase for $9.99.
