Zombie Army 4: Dead War is now out, bringing a slew of collectibles, like Documents & Comics, Upgrade Kits and Zombie Hands for players to hunt down besides Hitler’s endless hordes of zombies.
As some of them can prove quite elusive, our collectibles guide aims to make your search easier. Here are the locations of all Zombie Army 4 Documents, Comics, Upgrade Kits and Zombie Hands in the Dead Ahead mission.
Zombie Army 4 Dead Ahead Collectibles – Documents, Comics, Upgrade Kits, Zombie Hands
You’ll find at least one of each type of collectible in every chapter of the Dead Ahead mission, alongside a hidden Heroic Action you can perform in Chapter 3.
Below, you’ll find the detailed routes you need to take in order to reach the locations of each collectible in the Dead Ahead mission and make them your own.
Zombie Army 4 Collectibles - Dead Ahead Chapter 1 Reporting In
Document: Found inside the fortified position where you talk to Bruno. As you enter, go forward and through the door on the right. The document waits next to a typewriter on a desk.
Comic: To the right of the desk with the document, you’ll see a set of stairs. Simply go up, and forward through the door right in front until you reach the shelves. A prompt letting you pick up a comic should pop up once you’re under the broken light.
Zombie Hand: Exit the room where you found the comic, take the stairs to your right and you should arrive in another room with a broken wall, overlooking a radio mast to which the undead have taken a fancy. You’ll have to shoot them off but, to get your zombie hand, you just need to look carefully at the circular area with the barrels surrounding the locomotive in the center of the yard. The zombie hand patrols it and can easily be shot.
Upgrade Kit: From where you shot the hand, turn around, enter the door, make a right immediately after, and keep going forward until you reach a table with the Upgrade Kit on top of it. Press the button when prompted and it’ll be yours. These are all the collectibles in Chapter 1 of Zombie Army 4’s Dead Ahead Chapter.
Zombie Army 4 Collectibles - Dead Ahead Chapter 2 Locomotive Lockdown
First Upgrade Kit: You’ll find it as soon as you start the chapter, on the counter just in front of Edie.
Second Upgrade Kit: From the same room, take the stairs on your left and look to the right. You should see the Zombieshoot optional activity. Get the top score and you’ll be able to go through the door with the “Prize” sign above it and claim your second upgrade kit.
Comic: Found after the first blood seal in the chapter past the crashed carriage. Enter the room and go on the other side of the bench to your right. The comic waits on it.
Zombie Hand: As soon as your objective changes to climbing over the coal carriage, look on top of the train carriages in the area. The Zombie Hand is patrolling there.
Third Upgrade Kit: Found in the area where you must survive the Suicider ambush. Look to the right of the signpost in the center of the area and you should spot a two-floor makeshift structure. Climb it using the stairs on the right side and go to the far end of the second floor to find the third Upgrade Kit.
Document: For the final collectible in Chapter 2 of Zombie Army 4 Dead Ahead’s mission go past the signpost in the center of the area where you fought the Suiciders and look inside the first makeshift structure on the ground floor, to your left. The document should be inside.
Zombie Army 4 Collectibles - Dead Ahead Chapter 3 Off the Rails
Document: Right as you exit the safe room, go past the stairs leading down to platform 3 and look on the furthest table to the right. The Document should be on it near a sideways cup and a loaf of bread.
Heroic Action: Once you’ve progressed through the flooded underground area and got rid of the Blood Seal, you’ll reach a set of stairs that leads to a platform overlooking a wooden structure. Bert will radio for help as him and Jun get attacked by zombies. The goal is to help them make it out alive. Fighting the zombies in close quarters might help with controlling their flow better and making sure Bert and Jun stay alive.
Upgrade Kit: After encountering Bert and Jun, move back up the stairs on the platform from where you first spotted the wooden structure they were in. Go forward, make a left down the stairs. As soon as you’re at the bottom, make a right and you should spot the Upgrade Kit on a barrel right in front of you.
Zombie Hand: Found patrolling around an inaccessible area with several barrels. If you’re progressing through the mission for the first time, look to your right when zombies start falling off the roof.
Comic: Found on a green desk inside the Signal House. Enter it and make a left.
With that final Comic in your possession, you’ve now found all the collectibles in Zombie Army 4’s Dead Ahead mission.
